SNL Makes Big Push for Gun Control, Says GOP Politicians Look Like They’re ‘Running for President of ISIS’ (VIDEO)
During a big push for gun control on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, host Colin Jost said that pro-Second Amendment Republicans “look like they’re running for president of ISIS.”
Jost also claimed that Republicans love “guns more than people you don’t know.”
The segment began with Jost discussing Joe Biden’s call for universal background checks for gun purchases. He asserted that people who do not have a lot of friends or relatives should not be able to protect themselves.
“And background checks are a great start, but shouldn’t we also do current checks?” Jost ponders. “How about this: If you want a gun, the gun store has to talk to at least five people from your life who agree it’s a good idea for you to have a gun.
