DHS: Extremists Against COVID Vaccines, Stolen Election Pose National Security Threat Ahead of 9/11

Anti-government “extremists” who oppose mask mandates and experimental COVID vaccines, as well as those who insist the was 2020 election was rigged, pose an imminent threat national security threat ahead of the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks — according to the Department of Homeland Security.

The rollout of new COVID restrictions and lockdowns may spur racially motivated terror attacks, according to the department’s National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin issued on Friday.

“Through the remainder of 2021, racially- or ethnically-motivated violent extremists (RMVEs) and anti-government/anti-authority violent extremists will remain a national threat priority for the United States. These extremists may seek to exploit the emergence of COVID-19 variants by viewing the potential re-establishment of public health restrictions across the United States as a rationale to conduct attacks,” the bulletin states.
