Police: 15-Year-Old Sophomore Kills Three Students in Michigan High School Shooting; Six Others, Including a Teacher, Wounded (Update: Eight Wounded)
A 15-year-old sophomore used a semi-automatic hand gun to kill three students and wound six others at a Michigan school on Tuesday, including a teacher, according to authorities. (Update: Eleven people were shot. Eight were wounded, three killed. Six of the wounded are in stable condition, two are in surgery, unknown condition, per 5 p.m. update by officials.)
The shooting took place at Oxford High School in Oxford Township. The shooter, identified only as a male 15-year-old sophomore, was taken into custody, apparently unharmed, within five minutes of the first 911 call. The shooter has reportedly invoked his Fifth Amendment right to not answer police questions. An estimated 15-20 shots were fired.
