Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to announce that he canceled most of his holiday plans over the fear of Omicron variants. According to him, the surging cases of Omicron variants could lead to the ‘worst part of the pandemic.’
In a seven-tweet thread, Gates said that “Omicron is spreading faster than any virus in history, it will soon be in every country in the world.”
He revealed that his friends were already infected with the Omicron variant and his holiday will be different.
Just when it seemed like life would return to normal, we could be entering the worst part of the pandemic. Omicron will hit home for all of us.
