Ghislaine Maxwell Will Spend Christmas in Federal Jail After Jury Fails to Reach Verdict Before Holiday Weekend – Trial Set to Resume Next Week
After two full days of deliberations, the jury in Ghislaine Maxwell’s criminal child sex trafficking trial failed to reach a verdict, which pushes the trial into next week as jurors head home early for Christmas weekend.
Since Monday afternoon, the twelve-member jury has been behind closed doors trying to reach a decision. They have made a few simple requests throughout, including asking for the transcripts of three witnesses who testified against Epstein’s accused partner in crime, and for several documents, but there has been little to indicate what a possible outcome may be.
On Wednesday at the end of the day, the panel was dismissed for the long holiday weekend.
The trial will resume on Monday.
