Tennessee Democrat Lawmaker Expelled From State Senate After Being Convicted of Wire Fraud
A Tennessee Democrat state lawmaker was expelled from the state senate on Wednesday after being convicted of wire fraud.
This is the first time the Tennessee state senate has booted one of its members since the Civil War, Fox 13 Memphis reported.
Senator Katrina Robinson was voted out in a 27 to 5 vote after being convicted of wire fraud.

According to Fox 13 Memphis, in July 2020, Katrina Robinson was charged with stealing $600,000 in federal funds to pay for her wedding and other personal expenses:
