As the Fulton County District Attorney, Fani Willis, considers charges against former President Donald Trump and his allies in relation to the 2020 election in Georgia, a judge has ordered for parts of the grand jury report to be released. The report includes the panel’s introduction and conclusion, as well as their discussion of concern that some witnesses may have lied under oath during their testimony.

The judge’s decision comes after a Jan. 24th hearing, in which Willis argued that releasing the full report would violate the due process of potential future defendants, as only a one-sided exploration of events was presented to the grand jury.

The Washington Post reported that the grand jury provided Willis with a roster of who should, or should not, be indicted, and for what, in connection to Trump’s efforts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results.

According to the ruling, the parts of the grand jury report will be available to the public on Thursday, February 13th. As the prosecutor weighs her options, anticipation builds as to what charges may be filed based on the grand jury’s findings.
