Guatemalan Illegal Alien, Who Is Also a Convicted Sex Offender, Arrested in Massachusetts
An illegal immigrant who fled California, where he had been jailed as a sex offender, has been arrested in Massachusetts.
The Boston office of Enforcement and Removal Operations, a division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said the man was first arrested last week by police in Waltham, Massachusetts, after learning he was wanted by California authorities, according to an ICE news release.
The man, whose name was withheld, is a 35-year-old Guatemala native, the release said.
The Guatemalan man had been sentenced to three years in prison in California on charges of sex with a minor victim and sexual penetration with a foreign object on a minor. He served one year in prison and was released,
