Soros-backed Travis County District Attorney José Garza is seeking to overturn Governor Abbott’s pardon of Daniel Perry, who was convicted of fatally shooting a BLM/Antifa protestor in 2020 in self-defense.
“The Board of Pardon and Paroles, and the governor, put their politics over justice and make a mockery of our legal system,” Travis County District Attorney José Garza said in a press conference on Tuesday. “For that, they should be ashamed of themselves. Their actions were contrary to the law.”
The knives are out for Sgt. Perry.
Additionally, 14 Democrat state attorneys general called on the US Justice Department to investigate Sgt. Perry’s case.
