Turkey blasted Joe Biden’s Armenian Genocide statement on Saturday.

Joe Biden on Saturday recognized the Armenian Genocide.

“The American people honor all those Armenians who perished in the genocide,” Biden said.

Biden’s statement coincided with Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day (April 24).

The most recent genocide of the Armenians began on April 24th, 1915, and 1.5 million Christian Armenians were slaughtered by the Muslim Ottoman Turks.

Assyrians and Greeks were also murdered, bringing the total Genocide to 3.5 million Christians.

Turkey denies the Genocide to this day and they are furious that Joe Biden recognized the atrocities against Christians in the region as a “genocide.”

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Turkey “entirely rejects” Joe Biden’s statement.
