“Unvaccinated Find Love with Revolutionary Online Dating Service”

In a world where dating revolves around vaccination status, Shelby Thomson and Heather Pyle of Maui, Hawaii have launched Unjected, the world’s first online dating service dedicated to unvaccinated individuals. The two women experienced the frustration of dating as an unvaccinated person firsthand when the vaccine rollout began in 2021.

A survey conducted by Dating.com that same year revealed that 86% of respondents said they would not date an unvaccinated person. Maria Sullivan, Vice President and Dating Expert of Dating.com, commented on this phenomena, saying, “From restaurants to movies – and even sporting events – traditional dating activities are limited based on vaccination status, and our members see it as a clear dealbreaker.”

The lack of options for unvaccinated individuals on popular dating apps prompted Thomson and Pyle to create Unjected. Unlike other dating apps, Unjected allows users to list their vaccination status. In May 2021, the app was released on the Apple and Google stores, though it was later removed from the Apple store due to false information about vaccines. Unjected then moved to the web domain host GoDaddy and continues to provide a platform for unvaccinated people to connect safely.
